Devonport is Jarom, a change practitioner and thought leader with 15+ years industry experience. His purpose is to unlock people potential by elevating what makes us uniquely human.

Milestones

2005 - Graduated from BYU with an advertising degree.
2006 - Joined DDB (advertising agency) on the Microsoft account.
2009 - Joined boutique consulting firm.
2010 - Co-founded Carpool, a perpetual chat collaboration startup.
2012 - Became a Microsoft vendor and supported the rollout and adoption of Yammer* internally.
2013 - Carpool pivots to consulting and building intranet skins for SharePoint Online--internally at Microsoft and for Microsoft customers.
2018 - Partners with Microsoft to launch Microsoft Teams internally and support scaled adoption--then partnered with Microsoft to implement a customer adoption campaign with 20+ customers and reaching over 1M users.
2021 - Pivots to employee experience design - focus shift from IT to HR.
2024 - Supports Microsoft's internal Copilot adoption and agent building efforts, with a focus on HR services.
2024 - Sold Carpool.
2026 - Started Devonport.

* After Microsoft acquired Yammer, a director competitor to the Carpool chat platform which was built on the Microsoft platform, Carpool decided to pivot to a consulting services model.
